Happy Valley Woman Dies In Car Crash

Happy Valley, Ore. -According to Trooper Rich Anderson, on Tuesday at approximately 7:00P M, a 2003 Infinity G35, being operated by 57 year old Alexander DELUCIA JR of Happy Valley was southbound on the off-ramp from I-205 southbound to SE Sunnyside RD when it crashed at a high rate of speed into six vehicles that were stopped at a red light.

One of the vehicles the Infinity crashed into was a 2009 Ford Escape, being operated by 60 year old Sheilah M KRAUSSE of Happy Valley.

The Ford Escape sustained heavy crush damage on the rear end, passenger side, and front end. KRAUSSE was transported by AMR to OHSU in critical condition. She succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital yesterday.

DELUCIA JR was arrested on charges of Manslaughter I, DUII-Felony, Reckless Endangering of a Person and Reckless Driving. Alcohol and excessive speed are being investigated as factors in the crash.
