Bend, Ore. – The “Slide the City” event may come to Bend in September. The massive water slide is slated for Saturday, September 5th down College Avenue.

Bend City Manager Eric King was on KBNW news this morning and explained that he decided to approve the event with some conditions.

The initial permit was turned down.

Some of the conditions require that “Slide the City” buy water from the City, and use less water for re-circulation rather than the “run through” method. A County Pool Inspector will be on site to ensure water cleanliness and health safety.

*If the City is in a serious drought stage during the planned event then the permit is denied and the event will not be held.
