Fatal Crash In Douglas County Kills Turner Man

Glendale, Ore. – Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Friday afternoon’s single vehicle fatal traffic crash that occurred along Interstate 5 at milepost 80 interchange near Glendale. The crash resulted in the death of a Turner, Oregon man.

On February 13, 2015 at approximately 3:50 p.m., a 1992 Chevy pickup driven by WEBSTER WARREN WHITE, age 51, from Turner, was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 80 when his vehicle left the freeway and rolled, ending up resting in the middle of southbound lanes.

WHITE was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders and no information was available on whether safety restraints were used. The crash occurred near the Josephine County line approximately one mile into Douglas County.

According to a witness, the pickup was traveling at fast rate of speed just prior to the crash.

OSP troopers from the Grants Pass office are continuing the investigation and were assisted at the scene by the Oregon Department of Transportation, Glendale Fire Department, and Josephine County Sheriff’s Office. Partial lanes were closed during the investigation for two and half hours.
