High Winds Close Pioneer Park In Bend

Pioneer Park Closed Due to Fallen Trees
Park Users Asked to Use Caution

Due to fallen trees, Bend Park and Recreation District has closed Pioneer Park in Northwest Bend. The closure is effective immediately until high winds and gusts subside and the fallen trees and debris can be removed.

“We ask that park patrons use caution during this storm and avoid areas with large trees. During high winds, it is not uncommon for trees and limbs to come down in parks and on trails,” said Pat Erwert, Park Services Director. Erwert noted that it is possible that other parks could close without notice due to weather-caused damage and dangers.
Future access to Pioneer Park, once re-opened, will be available online at www.bendparksandrec.org or by contacting the District office at (541) 389-7275.
