UPDATE
Shortly after the sheriff’s office sent a news release to alert the public Thursday night, along with a photo of the missing man and a similar pickup truck, it sent out an update saying Scheiblehner had been found by Gresham police around 9 p.m.
“He was reported to be in good health and is being reunited with family,”

Leopold “Leo” Scheiblehner 89 Year Old Male
Location: 64000 Block of Glacier View Drive, Bend
Date/Time: January 8, 2015 at approximately 0845 hours
This morning at about 0845 hours, Leopold “Leo” Scheiblehner left his residence
on the 64000 Block of Glacier View Drive, Bend. He left in a dark green 2003 Toyota
Tacoma single cab pickup. The Toyota Tacoma has an Oregon license plate of ZQJ756.
Scheiblehner has early stage dementia and his whereabouts are unknown.
Scheiblehner is described as being approximately 5’05” and 165 pounds. He was last
seen wearing a blue windbreaker, gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, and slippers. He has gray
balding hair, blue eyes and wears eyeglasses.
Scheiblehner is described by family as being “outdoorsy” and has spent time in the
Smith Rock State Park and Mt. Bachelor areas. These areas have been checked without
success in locating him or his vehicle.
