Redmond, Ore. — Dave Standerwick will soon take the helm as the 2015 Redmond Chamber Board of Directors president, replacing 2014 board president Loretta Kriege. A Redmond business owner and member of the Redmond Chamber Board of Directors since 2012, Standerwick was elected by the Redmond Chamber Board of Directors during the group’s annual retreat back in October.
An Alaska native, Standerwick moved to Redmond in 2001. He currently owns and operates Polar Bear Gas & Wash – named Business of the Year by the Redmond Chamber of Commerce in 2012 – and Polar Bean Coffee Cottage.
“Dave is a strong leader within the Redmond business community, so stepping in as the president of our chamber board of directors is a natural transition for him,” said Eric Sande, executive director of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce & CVB. “We look forward to his vision and his leadership as we progress through 2015.”
Standerwick was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska. After earning a business degree from the University of Idaho in 1984, he followed a career path that included time as a marketing director for a regional airline and as an administrative vice-president for a regional trucking company – both in Alaska.
Standerwick and his wife, Michelle, have two grown children, both graduates of Redmond High School.
