Columbia River Poster

The map poster is released in honor of Geologic Map Day, Friday, the 17th.

SALEM, Ore. — A new map poster created by Oregon and Washington geologists offers an in-depth look at the interworkings of ecosystems along the states’ shared river.

The Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries developed the map together with their Washington State peers in honor of Geologic Map Day, which takes place Friday the 17th.

The map poster highlights the influence of geology with examples along the river’s 309 miles.
