Man Injured After Car Leaves Highway 126

091614.Highway.126EUGENE, OR — Oregon State Police troopers said a man was injured in an unreported crash west of Veneta Tuesday.  Around 7:30 a.m., an OSP trooper was traveling on Highway 126, when an ODOT employee radioed about possibly seeing a tire through the roadside brush.  After the trooper and ODOT employee turned around and stopped on the side of the highway, they spotted an overturned vehicle off the highway.  Inside was a seriously injured man.

Michael P. Vincent, 36, Coos Bay, was flown to a local hospital where he is in the intensive care unit.  OSP said Wednesday his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
