Prineville House Fire Under Investigation

Prineville, Ore. – Crook County Fire and Rescue and the Crook County Sherriff’s Dept. responded to SE Olsen Lane today for a house fire. The call was dispatched at 11:44 a.m. from a resident who walked outside and noticed his neighbor’s house on fire. No occupants were home at the time of the fire, there were no injuries.

SE Olsen Lane is located in the Juniper Canyon area, the double wide mobile home was a complete loss estimated at $45,000. Crook County Fire and Rescue responded with 11 firefighters in two engines, two water tenders and an ambulance. Defensive fire conditions were met upon arrival.

The Red Cross was called to assist the adult occupant who arrived on scene as the fire was brought under control. The cause for the fire is under investigation.
