Redmond, Ore. – Redmond’s Rotary Club is hosting the second annual Daddy Daughter Dance on February 7, 2015. The event will take place at Ridgeview High School in the commons area from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Rotary members want to host an event that provides an opportunity for Dads, or Father Figures to have a special one on one evening with their daughter(s). “There aren’t many special events tailored to Dad’s and Daughters in the area,” said Lynn Evans, Event Chair. “Hosting this event seemed like a natural fit for the very family friendly Redmond community.”
Guests will pre-register by visiting www.redmondoregonrotary.org. Event tickets are $36 and include a welcome gift for every daughter, music and fun dances facilitated by a live DJ from Flip Flop Sounds, drinks, snacks and a complimentary photo.
A special treat that likely sets Redmond Rotary’s Daddy Daughter Dance apart will be the presence of a horse drawn buggy driven by Redmond School District Superintendent, Mike McIntosh. “When I was approached about providing buggy rides around the Ridgeview High School campus during the Daddy Daughter Dance it was a no-brainer – I had to say yes,” said Mike McIntosh, Redmond School District Superintendent. “I appreciate the opportunity to be part of such a special night in Redmond.”
No Mom’s will be allowed to attend this event. It is a night for girls in grades kindergarten through eighth grade to spend with their Dad, or Father Figure.
Proceeds from the event support Redmond School District programs through Redmond Rotary’s contributions.
