Man Found Dead In Pond South Of Alfalfa

DCSO.STOCK.2BEND, OR — A Bend man was found dead in a pond south of Alfalfa Thursday afternoon.  Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Reynolds Pond just before 12:45 p.m.  When crews arrived the swimmer reported to be in distress couldn’t be found.  After a 40-minute search by deputies, Bend Fire, Deschutes County Search and Rescue and BLM personnel, the body of Lawrence Domanski, 66, was pulled from the water.

According to the DCSO, Domanski was not at the pond alone, and the circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation.
